8M - The first female detective


In commemoration of 8 M, Oliver detectives want to remember the first female detective recognized worldwide, and created a paradigm in this profession so stigmatized by the male gender.

In the middle of the 19th century, the first female detective in history appeared, KateWarne, to work in the offices of Pinkerton, one of the most famous National Private Detective Agencies in Chicago in the world.

Being a girl of about 25 years, she stood out for her skills when it comes to infiltrating apparently complicated environments if you are a man but being a woman nobody would suspect you and you could even become more intimate and empathize in order to obtain the information under investigation. .

She quickly rose through the ranks and was appointed supervisor of the Bureau's female investigators department, working hand in hand with founding Detective Allan Pinkerton.
